Big Boss

Big bossy Steller's jay lets out
its critical view of doings
of quite dimwitted squirrel who
arrives to interrogate the earth
under the plum tree for the nth
time: buried nut there in previous
life? Would love to speak your language.
O easier philosopher,
I'd learn to confer with birds and
trees. But Nature's mystick Book, shut
up on Caliban's dusty shelf,
keeps its bright secrets to itself.
